If you’re considering buying a container home, one of the first things you might be wondering is:
“How does delivery work?”
At Home Tech Club, we’ve made the delivery process as smooth and stress-free as possible, so your new home shows up ready to go — no dramas, no headaches.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Step 1: We Build Your Home Off-Site
Every Home Tech Club modular container home is built off-site in our controlled workshop environment. That means:
-
Faster build times
-
No on-site mess
-
Weather delays = basically none
Step 2: Site Preparation (We’ll Guide You)
Before your container home arrives, your site will need to be prepared. This usually includes:
-
A level base (concrete slab or piers, depending on the unit)
-
Clear access for the delivery vehicle (including height clearance)
-
Power and plumbing setup if applicable
Not sure what’s needed for your block? We’ll let you know exactly what to do — or point you in the direction of a local installer or tradie who can help.
Step 3: Delivery with Tilt Tray or Crane Truck
We work with experienced transport teams like TVA Transport to deliver your unit safely across NSW (and beyond). Depending on your site, we’ll use:
-
A tilt tray truck for easy unloads on flat, accessible sites
-
A crane truck for trickier installs or tight access points
We’ll help you choose the right method and schedule a time that works.
Step 4: Positioning & Final Setup
Once your unit is on-site, the transport crew will:
-
Position it exactly where you want it
-
Secure it onto your base
-
Check it’s level and stable
If your home includes multiple modules (like the JULIET2), they’ll be joined and sealed on-site. After that, you or your tradesperson can connect power, water, and any extras.
How Long Does It Take?
From order to delivery, the whole process is usually within weeks, not months. Delivery itself is often done in a few hours, depending on access and site readiness.
Can You Deliver to Remote or Rural Areas?
Yes! We’ve delivered units to all kinds of locations, including tight suburban backyards, farms, and rural properties. As long as there’s clear access for the truck or crane, we can get it there.
